![]() Unlike in Kingdom Hearts 1, there are no unique Abilities. Sora earns specific stat and Ability rewards each level up. Getting to level 99 unlocks an Achievement. The level cap in Kingdom Hearts 2 is 99 and requires a grand total of 2,875,578 experience. The Experience Boost Ability increases experience earned by 20%, as is unlocked at level 9, 17, or 7, depending on whether you chose the Sword, Shield, or Staff, respectively. StatĮxperience works just like in the first game, being awarded as soon as the enemy is defeated. The following chart shows you how much each stat increases with each reward. Note that MP increases are only awarded from Bonus Levels (see below). This gives you the earliest access to the Once More Ability, and second earliest access to Second Chance.Įach level up grants Sora an increase to one or more of his main stats: Hit Points (HP), Magic Points (MP), Strength, Magic, Defense, or Ability Points (AP). None of the abilities are unique this time around, so choose whichever path gets you the abilities you want as early as possible.Ĭritical: I highly recommend selecting the Shield for this playthrough. Instead, they only affect when he learns specific Abilities. Unlike in KH1, there are no choices to make that affect Sora's starting stats.
